7. Resume

Thank you for taking an interest in my resume!

I am currently working at the UNM Health Science Center, for the Center for Infectious Disease and Immunity as a webmaster and desktop support tech. I am also working on a degree in "English-Philosophy," part-time.

• I maintain my resume in LaTeX source and convert to other formats with a simple script. Most will want to use the printable .pdf version (or possibly the online .html version). The html and other versions are generated with imperfect tools and should be avoided if possible.

• Please note that while my resume uses my legal name, Evans Winner, it links to code that i have signed with either nom de plum Theron Ttlåx or Thorne. It’s still me.
• This is a short (1 page) quick resume. More detail is available on request.
• It highlights my background as a computer operator (aka system operator, sysop or Data Technician) with the iSeries (aka AS/400, AS-400, AS400, OS/400, OS400, OS-400, System i or iOS), as that is most of my recent experience (and it doesn’t mention my past customer service work) but I am also interested in operations on other platforms (Unix, zOS / mainframe, RS6000, etc), tech writing, system administration or help-desk work.

Some soft reasons to hire me that aren’t on my resume:

• I am an IT generalist, with a wide exposure to many aspects of the industry
• I am a 36 year-old adult, which sometimes has its advantages over a recent college grad.
• I am literate; I can write and speak clearly and effectively, which we all know is not a given in the computer field
